VACCINATIONS
Influenza
It is recommended that each year patients aged 65 and over, those with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or asthma, and those living in residential/nursing homes should be vaccinated against influenza.
The programme runs from September to January each year and the practice operates dedicated clinics to administer the vaccine. The housebound will be visited and vaccinated by Practice Nurse or one of the Doctors during this period.
Pneumococcal
All patients aged 65 and over and those in a clinical risk category should have the Pneumococcal injection to provide protection for life. This injection can be administered at any time during the year.
If you need any advice please contact the Practice Nurse.
Appointments can be made in the normal way.
